Cytomorphological Characteristics Of Ameloblastoma By Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy Procedure Confirmed With Histopathological Examination

چکیده
Background: Ameloblastoma is the most common benign epithelial odontogenic tumor with malignant potential and usually located in jaw. It constitutes about 1-3% of all tumors cysts jaws. This entity has a very high recurrence rate over 50% even after wide excision. Preoperative diagnosis ameloblastoma can be made by fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) which used as guide for surgical planning. Case report: We report case mandible 41-year-old man preoperative from fine needle biopsy. Cytological examination FNAB was confirmed histopathological preparation tissue. Conclusion: The cytology reliable procedure pre-operative ameloblastoma. Pre-operative planning therapy early cases that improve patient survival

Concordance Rate between Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy and Core Needle Biopsy in Breast Lesions
Background and Objectives:Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) is one of the methods of breast biopsy which is fast, easy and cost effective. The aim of this study was to evaluate the concordance rate between pathologic results of sonography or stereotaxy guided FNAB and guided core needle biopsy (CNB) in the evaluation of breast le...

Mandibular swellings can be caused by many benign lesions of odontogenic or non-odontogenic origin. The most common tumor of odontogenic origin is ameloblastoma which develops from epithelial cellular elements and dental tissues in various stages of development. It is a benign, yet locally aggressive intraosseous odontogenic tumor occurring most often in the mandible followed by maxilla (1). It...
متن کاملA case of ameloblastoma diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration cytology.
A preoperative presumptive diagnosis of ameloblastoma is sometimes made in the light of available clinical and radiological data, which are generally not very characteristic. The final diagnosis can only be made on the basis of histologic features. In this paper, a case of ameloblastoma diagnosed preoperatively by fine-needle aspiration cytology is presented and the potential value of this tech...
متن کاملCombination of aspiration and non-aspiration fine needle biopsy for cytological diagnosis of thyroid nodules
Background: Good cytological sample is very important for the cytological diagnosis of thyroid nodules. The aim of this study was to evaluate the adequacy of prepared samples by the combination of aspiration and non- aspiration fine needle biopsy. Methods: In this descriptive – analytical study, sampling was done simultaneously for each patient in fine needle aspiration and non-aspiration biops...
متن کاملEndoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Fine-Needle Aspiration Vs Fine-Needle Biopsy.
RM The primary goal of fine-needle aspiration is to acquire individual cells as opposed to tissue, which is the aim of fine-needle biopsy. Cells may not necessarily provide the stroma, or the associated architecture, of the surrounding tissue. Thus, if the surrounding architecture is needed to make a diagnosis, a fine-needle biopsy, which typically uses a core biopsy needle, should provide that.
